【Half a Century of History】Ajro Iron Furo-gama Set Tea Ceremony Utensils (Beloved Item of a 71-Year-Old Father-in-Law)

This is a Ajiron-kurogane (wickerwork iron) furogama (brazier and kettle) set, cherished and used by my father-in-law for approximately 54 years, starting from when he was 17 years old. He is now 71.

For many years, my father-in-law enjoyed the tea ceremony during breaks at his shop. This set was carefully used for his customers and his own quiet moments amidst the shop's subdued lighting (as seen in the photos).

Due to his advanced age, handling heavy items has become difficult, and he wishes to pass this cherished set on to someone else.

[Condition]

Inscription: Ajiron-kurogane (wickerwork iron)

Weight: Approximately 4-5 kg (very heavy and substantial construction)

Interior: There is slight rust inside the kettle due to age, but it has been treated by boiling with tea leaves (tannin-iron rust prevention treatment). The water does not turn red, and it is ready for immediate use.

Exterior: It has a deep, tasteful vintage feel from its use in the shop. It has been carefully cleaned for this listing.

The photos were taken under the lighting of my father-in-law's shop. Care has been taken not to distort the actual colors, but it has a very refined presence.

[Shipping and Other Information]

This is an old item with over half a century of history. We hope to pass it on to someone who appreciates antiques and collectibles, and who will cherish it as my father-in-law did.

Due to its weight, it will be carefully packaged for shipping.
