Vintage Chinese Handwoven Bamboo Rattan Basket Kagome Weave Mid Century Decor

Vintage handwoven bamboo and rattan basket featuring an open lattice weave, flared hourglass-style shape, thick wrapped rim, and woven base with reinforcing bamboo supports. Based on the construction and style, this piece appears to be a vintage Asian basket, possibly Chinese and mid-20th century. Exact maker, origin, and age are unknown. Measures approximately 9.5” across the top and about 5.5” tall. Vintage condition with age-related wear throughout. There are several areas of broken, split, loose, or protruding rattan/bamboo strands, particularly around the upper rim and sides. Surface wear, discoloration, and patina are present consistent with age and use. Because this is a handmade piece, the top rim is naturally irregular and does not sit perfectly even or level. Please review all photos closely for condition, shape, and details, as they are considered part of the description. A beautiful decorative piece for boho, rustic, farmhouse, organic modern, or eclectic interiors. Great for shelf styling, display, or lightweight storage.
