Majolica
Antique c1900 Art Nouveau Majolica Vase Austrian German Floral Pierced Handle Beautiful antique Art Nouveau majolica pottery vase, dating approximately to the 1900–1910s. This striking vase features a tall sculptural form with an ornate scalloped crest rim, pierced double handles, and raised floral decoration. The body is finished in a deep glossy green glaze accented by pink and red flowers against a warm cream and tan ground. The flowing botanical decoration, curved handles and organic form are characteristic of Art Nouveau / Jugendstil pottery produced in Austria, Germany and surrounding European regions during the turn of the 20th century. The vase has an ED marking, but the exact maker has not been positively identified. Because of this, we are not attributing the piece to a specific pottery. An attractive genuine antique decorative piece for collectors of Art Nouveau, Jugendstil, European majolica and turn-of-the-century pottery. Pre-owned antique condition with age-relat
